Superhero

It was a Tuesday night, bingo night as always. It was getting heated, and Zach couldn't handle the stress that bingo was bringing to him, so he got up and left. He said his goodbyes to his friends and fellow bingo-goers, and went on his way. On his way home, he smelled the faint smell of onions coming from an alley in between two buildings. The smell got stronger the closer he got, and he couldn't contain his curiosity, and he followed the tantalizing aroma. He heard rattling, and saw a dark shadowy figure bolt behind him. He pivoted on his heels, gasping. Zach was trembling now, scared he was going to be assaulted, lured into his doom with the oniony scent. The figure emerged from the shadows, with a huge smile on his face. Zach couldn't believe his eyes.

It was Shrek.

"What?!" Zach exclaimed, trying to catch his breath. "Don't be afraid, it will all be ogre soon" The ogre said with a grin. He pointed his large green hand at Zach's traumatized face, mutters some mysterious ogre curse, and a green sparkling wisp flows from his finger tips into Zach's body, engulfing him and lifting him into the air. The wisp suddenly disappears, and Zach tumbles onto the ground. He looks up, but the ogre was gone, with nothing of a trace, except for a perfectly round onion lying on the ground.

Zach couldn't believe what had just happened. He begins to walk home, shocked, flustered, and confused. "Hey Z-man!" he hears from across the street. He turns to see his friend Jarrad Melano across the street with his bandmates. He waves back, and an onion shoots out of his hand at lightning speed, connecting on Jarrad's forehead with a thud, instantly knocking her unconscious. The rest of Hope In our Pies (Jarrad's band) runs screaming.

Zach was really freaked out now. He sprints home, and runs into his bathroom. he splashes water on his face and rubs his eyes. He looks to the mirror, and screams.

He was green.

"Okay what is going on!" Zach proclaims. He punches the counter. The blow had such extreme force, it sent a crack through the granite. Shocked by his own strength, he throws his hands up in the air, which sent an onion flying. The vegetable bounced off the roof, flying right into his head, knocking him out. When he wakes up, the sun had already come up. He recalls all of what had went on yesterday, and realized he had been gifted extraordinary powers.

He was now Shrack, The world guardian.

I could have done a better job, and I'm going to fix it up and makie everything blend better, and add the shadow. I picked this one assuming it would be simple, and I was very wrong. It was really tedious and difficult to get it right, and I didn't. I used a bunch of strawberry's then used vector masks and made them into the shape of a banana. I'll research and figure out a better way to get it done.

Film Critique

I think the movie overall was good. Usually animated films are cheesy and immature, and so was this one, but it was in a good way. I don't often enjoy movies like this, but this one was written in a way that people of all ages could enjoy. The plot was good and well executed, and it wasn't too fast or predictable.
The quality of the movie was good. The visual aspect was great, where it could be incredibly realistic, yet still have that cartoon-esque feel too it. The theme was that you should always stick together, and that sometimes you have to believe your dad when he tells you about little people.
The weaknesses were sometimes it was a little too cheesy, and they didn't execute some of the scenes the best they could have, but overall there was a lot more good than bad.
                     10/10 would watch again
